Are there any English speaking/International Schools in the Liege/Seraing area? We will soon be moving to Liege with 2 school age (3 & 6 yrs) children who do not know any French, but can only find International Schools in the Brussels area.

AJ - My husband will be working in Seraing, so we'd like to live close to there as to not have a long daily commute to/from. From my understanding, Brussels to Seraing is about an hour or so drive without traffic, but we were hoping to keep it to 30 minutes or less.

Okay, get it. But I do fear that you would find Liege very limiting socially, if you all have minimal French. Been there a couple of times, not a place I would ever move to, even knowing the language. Maybe check out Maastricht or Luxembourg, as others have suggested. But if you're moving from US (?) I guess that you have to live in Belgium.

Go to the Liege Expats FB group and you'll find English speaking families in the area.
Maastricht is 52km and a minimum of 45 minutes in ideal traffic from Seraing. It is not particularly practical and if non EU, cross border working is unlikely going to be possible.

We put our 3 and 5 year old into local school. Difficult at first but they were speaking well in a few months. Perfect after one year.
It all depends on how long you plan to stay.
Lot to be said for commuting from close to Brussels, especially if you have company car.
