Interior designer

I am looking for references from people who have worked with an interior designer and are pleased with the results.

I need someone to help us decide on interior layout, furnishings, colours etc. taking into account our specific needs. We're interested in a warm, cosy , welcoming home rather than one with a trendy minimalistic feel.

Also can you give me an idea on how they base their fees?
