Since you are self-employed you will need the A2 language diploma as the only exceptions are for those who are too disabled to work, who are pensioners, or who are employed in a situation where they use one of the official languages. Your commune will tell you what else you will need.

I didn't need a language diploma and I'm self employed...
I work primarily in English.

crisscross

PR card (Any card except A card)
birth certificate legalized
5 yr stay
5 years continuous work with no break in contract (or if there's is a break then Contract A ends on a friday and Contract B starts following monday) Even a week in between is a gap.
If self employed then payment for six quarters of social contributions.

Or

PR card (Any card except A card)
birth certificate legalized
5 yr stay
if break in job contract:
468 working days prior to application (approx 2.25 years) or if If self employed then payment for six quarters of social contributions.
Social Integration: A2 language + social classes + (maybe a separate language test for ctz so I've heard).
