Income Tax 2012
Dear Xpats, this is the first year that I have to file an income tax return. The BE authorities sent me the forms for a declaration simplifiee which I completed with the information they didn't have. I have not heard back from them, and wonder if I now need to file the same information on line before expiry of the July deadline. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance for any information.
If you sent it by mail or dropped in their specific letterboxes before June 26th then you'll be fine. It'll take some months before you receive a letter back from the Tax Office with the results of your declaration if you have to receive a rebate or pay some money. The rebate are usually paid after two months you receive the letter by crediting the current account that you quoted in the tax declaration.
if I remember correctly i think i read that the first year the declaration is always done on paper, from the second year onward you can also chose the online option
