How to prove language proficiency for Belgian citizenship

Question

I am planning to upgrade my Dutch to the minimum level required for applying for Belgian citizenship: A1. I was wondering if I could self-study and take a test or must I take part in a language course (either CVO or linguapolis) to achieve the certificate ?

Because of coronavirus I prefer to self-study. I'd appreciate any feedback.

I just realised I finished CVO1.2, which is equivalent of A2, so I already met the language requirement. I wanted to delete this question but am unable to. Sorry about the trouble.
