how to obtain VOG : Certificate of good conduct

Hi All,

I will soon be working in the Nederlands from January onwards.
My prospective employer has asked me to get a VOG (proof of good conduct , no criminal record etc).

How to go about it ? Can the commune in which i live provide me one ?

For a Belgian certificate of good conduct, go to the maison communale/gemeentehuis where you are registered, they might ask for a small amount of money.
