houseboat rental in netherlands

Question

Looking for a way to search for renting a houseboat for some days in Netherlands, preferably south. I see plenty in Amsterdam but these do not seem to be for sailing out. Is Rotterdam a possibility? Suggestions for websites/links welcome!

I'm guessing that you are looking for the wrong thing.
By definition a 'houseboat' is a permanently moored boat on which someone lives.
What you are looking for is a touring barge. I don't know how they are described, or even whether they exist in the Netherlands, but they are certainly available for hire in UK and France.
