Growing demand for city tours in Brussels

New figures from VisitBrussels show that the demand for guided tours in the city has increased by 20% in the past four years, writes Brussel Deze Week. About 14,000 guided tours of Brussels were recorded in 2011, a number that continues to rise every year. In 2014, about 17,200 tours took place in the city.

The figures are based on data from a panel made up of the city’s 15 largest tour guide organisations. The number of tourists who use the services of an official tour guide organisation has also grown, according to the study, with VisitBrussels recording an increase of 15% in four years, from 294,000 in 2011 to 343,300 last year.
