Getting a Type C visa for domestic worker
Hi all,
I have a friend from my home country (US) who would like to cover to live in Europe for a year. We are older and retiring is not an option for the person, but my daughter is having a baby. Her family has agreed to host our family friend in exchange lodging, use of car, gas, food, small stipend and language classes. Our family friend would provide child care for the new baby. We understand we need a type C work permit for her. Can anyone tell us the cost of this? For us , for her? Where do we start with the process? Has anyone ever done this for a domestic worker?
Thanks
First of all, a type C visa is for short visits to Schengen countries NO WORK ALLOWED, 90 days maximum, no immediate re-entry it's 90 days between exit and re-entry.
.
Secondly,if the person is a US national, they do not need a type C visa to enter Belgium on a 90 day maximum visit, as they are not a visa national.
.
The cost of a type C Schengen visa is I believe €60 and paid for normally in local currency.
