FT weekend delivery

Question

Morning all.

I subscribe to the FT weekend paper. It should be delivered on Saturday mornings, and indeed occasionally it is. However, it is often late or sometimes is not delivered at all. Anyone else in the same boat and know why these issues occur?

Thanks.

Reason. This is Belgium. Not renowned for efficient delivery service and Saturday is the weekend!
Solution. Go for the digital version with a tablet/iPad. Strange at first but you get used to it quickly.

I used to subscribe as well but gave up after many non deliveries.
I now just pick it up at my local newsagent. I have one on order, so they don't sell out by accident before I get there.

Thanks both. @wezembeekwanderer - I so miss a hard copy weekend paper that I will persevere!
@anon - any idea why there were so many non deliveries? Thing is a get a good deal through the FT (almost 50% off) that I will see how it goes.

I think because (unlike the Mon-Fri editions which are printed locally) it comes from the U.K., and the distribution network is low cost, low priority, unprofitable, but extremely time sensitive.

Basically, if there is a delay anywhere along the line between London and Brussels, they don't arrive on time here to get into the local hand delivery distribution network.

On the other hand, the newsagents in Brussels and periphery, and places like the airports etc. must use a different distribution network, which is more reliable (and hence more expensive).

Mostly speculation on my part, but I bet I'm not far from reality.
