HI, bit of a random question but does anyone know if there are specific building regulations for the construction of front doors for houses/appartment blocks etc. ?

It depends on where you live and on the tipe of building. In the Brussels region, for instance, the door must be at least 80cm wide and 2m tall in buildings where there are apartments to be rented out. Not sure whether that all applies to houses.
