Freelance teachers and VAT

Question

In 2012, you article on freelancing stated, "Some professions are VAT-exempt, such as doctors, lawyers, teachers, journalists and artists."
This has always been our understanding of the situation for my wife who is a freelance teacher with a fairly low income to boot.
However, someone has suggested to us that the law may have changed and that she may no longer be VAT-exempt.
Is this true?
If so, when did it change and what is the best course of action?

As usual in Belgium, it's complicated. Certain teaching remains exempt, see link, http://www.sinstaller-en-profession-liberale.fr/professions-de-lenseigne...
Probably best to check with accountant.

I don't know the answer -- but link above is for france -- I just followed it as I would like to know as well! (for same reasons) Is there a similar one for Belgium?
