Free wifi at Bourse and Flagey

04:18 16/12/2015

The Brussels-Capital Region this week adds two new free public wifi locations to its list of 'hotspots': Place Flagey and Place de la Bourse. That brings the total number of free wifi zones in the region up to 44. The two new hotspots go live on Friday, announced state secretary for digitisation Bianca Debaets.

The new hotspots are to be added to the Urbizone, the name for the Brussels-Capital Region's free wifi network. "We want to make Brussels a Smart City. Free wifi for everyone is an essential part of it, and that's why we've chosen to equip Brussels' largest squares with wifi,” said Debaets on brusselnieuws.be. "In 2016, there will be even more public squares added to the Urbizone.”

Access to the Urbizone network is free, but a one-time registration is required.
