Flu vaccine

Question

I called my daughters pediatrician to see about getting her a flu vaccination. He informed me that I need to go see the chemist to obtain the info and bring it to him. I am not quite sure on the process of getting this at the pharmacy. This is the first time for anyone in my family getting a vaccine in BE. Do you always have to go to the pharmacy first? Do I pick up the actual vaccine? I am new to this seeing how back in the US the doctor has all the vaccines available in office.

Thanks for any help!

Yep it is quite normal to buy it from the chemist, you will get the actual vial and have to take it with you.
Not sure on the flu one as we never do that one but sometimes you'll get a prescription first.
Just go and ask at the chemist.
