Family reunion of non-EU citizens in Brussels

Question

Hi everybody,
Strongly need your advice re: relocation of my future husband to Brussels.
I am a non-EU citizen working with a work permit in Brussels since January 2014 (so almost 4 months) and have already obtained a belgian residence card for 1 year. I am getting married in September outside EU and my fiance is also a non-EU citizen , but we are really thinking about moving together to Brussels...the problem of course is visa and work permit for him... does anybody had the same issue? Would it be possible for him to get belgian visa as my husband so we could live together in Bxls?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Davel's link refers to co-habitation whereas you will actually be married.
It's difficult to give much specific advice without knowing more details but one thing is certain, the Belgian authorities need to be convinced that your marriage is genuine and not simply a means to allow another non-EU citizen to get access to the EU. And this applies across the EU, it is not exclusive to Belgium.
You will need to show that you have been a couple in love for some time and, obviously, the longer the better. And also that your actions whilst separated have been those of a loving couple who are reluctantly living apart. And again, the more evidence that you can provide, the better your chances.
Photos of you together, letters, emails, text messages and so on. Proof that you call each other regularly. Have you been 'back home' to see him whilst you have been here; has he been over to see you? The list is endless but I'm sure that you can get the idea of what will be helpful.

Following documents are must

* Your spouse birth certificate, marriage certificate- legalised ( double or triple )- This depends on the country your spouse resides
* For your spouse to work here, the employer needs to process the work permit- alternatively, he/she can start working as an independent.- but his/her qualification needs to be validated- Diploma Equivalency.
* Diploma equivalency is a long procedure, takes around 1 year.

The link below shows the complete list of documents required, Change your country from the main webpage, as they change from country to country
