family day / bicycle rental

Question

This weekend I would like to find a place to rent bicycles (adults and children) then then go for an afternoon ride. Perhaps along the canal system, or thru a forest. Ideally I would take a picnic and stop along the way.

I can drive to the location (<1.5 hours of BXL is best) but don't have a way to carry 8 bicycles for the two families who will be going.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thank you for this link. It's one of the places I was thinking to go! It could be perfect and quite close.

If anyone knows of bike rental around Mechelen with easy access to the canal system, please also let me know.
