Etat de lieux
The only change as far as you are concerned is that your apartment has been sold with sitting tenants and you now have a new landlord. It remains your home. If you pay the rent to an agent you are not going to notice any change whatsoever.
When you decide for yourselves at some future date to give notice and leave there will be an Etat de lieux de sortie exactly as if the place had never changed hands.
As Kasseistamper has clearly stated, the only change that concerns you is that you have a new landlord, and therefore the exit Etat de lieux is still required exactly as it would have been if the apartment hadn't been sold.
> I have already given the notice for moving out to the present tenant
How did you do that legally? Normally, you can only give notice if you intend to live there yourself.
> I just asked whether the etait de lieux would be necessary?
None of your business. That's a matter for the new owner.
Yes you must have one and pay for repairs even if the landlord is selling happened to us
And to be clear we our actually our expert had to argue every single point to not get screwed out our deposit (including the fact that we had with verbal permission painted a grotty dirty room from disgusting white to pale blue, we had to pay for that even though actually it was now clean and bright and repainted it was no longer WHITE as in the moving survey and we couldn't prove horrible evil landlady and believe me she was had agreed we could do it because it wasn't in writing)
So get an expert and expect to pay unless you have a wonder landlord and did zero wear and tear .
And yes we were evicted because she was selling as we were difficult because after months of asking her to do all the things she agreed BEFORE ee moved in like replacing a carpet with a hole the size of a dinner plate in it. We with held her rent on advice until she fulfilled her side of the contract and for out troubles on the dot of when she could evict us with out paying she did so and the first we knew was agents at the door asking to view and as she was selling
