Etat de lieu on entry
We just had inspection for Etet de lieu on entry and I received the report.
The strange thing is that when I asked expert if I should sign it, he told me it's not needed as he represents both landlord's and my interests.
I remember that before inspection I signed a contract with the expert that I'm agree that he will do the inspection. My French is not very good yet, so maybe I missed something in the contract.
Can it be that the contract which I signed with the expert states that I trust him and agree with whatever he will put in the report ?
Is it now too late to argue about the content of the report ?
You have 1 month to check the report and make any amendments. It is not unusual for the expert to miss something. You get the landlord's agreement and both sign it.
You should NEVER sign anything unless you understand and agree with every word in it.
If you send anything by mail do so by recorded delivery (accuse de reception), or by having the recipient sign a copy as received on the particular date.
