Question

Now that I've been here a month, it's got to the stage where a haircut is needed. My French isn't yet up to the standard where I'd feel comfortable discussing a haircut - does anybody have advice on English speaking barbers?

Sorry can't advise on English speaking barber but here is some potentially useful vocabulary http://www.expatica.com/fr/essentials_moving_to/essentials/practical-fre... (some of it obviously aimed at female market!)

One useful phrase for you might be "une coupe entretien s'il vous plait" ie I'd like a "maintenance" cut please ....

I recommend Gentlemen Barber Club at Chaussée de Waterloo. The barbers are English speaking and super professional. The place is very clean and they also have a floor for bodycare. Great for pedicure and massage
