Driving License exchange

Question

I’m an expat from UAE to Belgium. I have UAE valid driving license and as per the bilateral treaty the driving licenses should be exchanged. Only problem new Format in UAE have small changes of logo right and left but here the local commune is so strict and wants 100% same as on the website which is very old license.

So is there any way to exchange the license in Belgium?

I know how bureaucracy can be here, but one thing you can try is to get an official letter from your embassy testifying that your license is genuine and corresponds to the new format in vigor in UAE.
