Digestive biscuits

Question

Does anyone know of a substitute for digestive biscuits that I might be able to get locally? Is there perhaps another brand that's similar? I know a place to get them but it's a drive away. Thanks

Richard

Most large Carrefour or DelHaize shops have digestives in the foriegn products range but you could always try Granny that do a biscuit similar (almost hobnob like) but they are more expensive for a similar weight. If you are doing a cheescake or something similar base then I use Speculose as long as you are ok with the spice taste (similar to ginger nuts).

If it's for a cheesecake base or similar, you can also use crushed shortbread biscuits, they're available in most shops, typically sold in red packets. In fact, you can use pretty much any kind of biscuit.

Hi all!
I know it's been 5 years since this has been asked but anyway it helped me yesterday. It was a good start to know that the original Digestive biscuits from the company McVitie's exist somewhere in Brussels.

So I searched and searched and found them! at the little Delhaize Shop&Go just next to Schumann.
Rue Froissart 123, 1000 Bruxelles.

Now I can make my mother's cheesecake recipe!:)
