Desire to do voluntary work with animals
I would like to do voluntary work with animals (e.g. in a shelter, with a vet, or some other properly established organisation). My reason for this is because I love animals and would like to be able to help them out.
Has anyone any such experience and/or advice or references?
Thanks a lot.
Hello Michele. There are a few links at the end of this article that might be helpful: http://www.xpats.com/pay-it-forward-volunteering-belgium
There are also nature help centres across Flanders that use volunteers. Don't know if you speak Dutch or would be required to.

Would this be any good for you?

Situé à Chastre, entre Gembloux et Louvain-la-Neuve, Brabant Wallon.
All the shelters welcome volunteers. Help Animals is near the ring in Anderlecht as is Veeweyde. I know that you can walk the dogs at Help Animals which is great if you don't have the chance of adopting one.
Dyadis provides assistance dogs for disabled people. We are looking for families who can socialise and base train a puppy from 2 month up to 16 month. If you are interested you can contact at secretariat@dyadis.org
Many thanks
