I arrived home tonight to find a cat dead under a hedge in my garden.
What should I do ?
I have put the poor thing into a box and put hit in the shed.

It sounds a bit horrid, but perhaps take a photo. Someone might put up "lost" posters and by taking a photo, you might be able to contact the owner that way. Sorry can't help about how to treat the deceased cat, maybe contact a vet and ask advice on what to do.
