De Lijn 65 Plussers pass

Question

My card expired at the end of 2012. At that time I got a letter explaining that the system was being overhauled and that my card would remain valid until mid-2013. I have heard nothing more since.
On the De Lijn website it said that cards were being renewed about 2 months before the month of birth and would remain valid until then. That message remains on the site though the applicable date for me has now gone by.
Are there any other oldsters out there who hold such a pass? What has been your experience?
I’m simply trying to forewarn myself in anticipation of any problems with a driver or inspector.
Thanks for any help.

If you live in Flanders and are min 65, you should receive this year, during the month of your birthday, a letter from De Lijn asking for the paiement of 5 €.

And you should then receive a new card some days later.

For more information, visit the site of the bus cy.

Kind regards
