If I pay for something on a Belgian credit card and the supplier goes bust before delivering the goods to me, can I recover what I paid by credit from the credit card company?

Depends on your card. My Beobank credit card will reply for non-arrival of goods from an online site, for a minmum of 50 euros and a max of 1500 euros.
