Control Technique - Tow bar
I will have my control technique for the first time next week. The problem I have is that i fitted a tow bar after I bought the car but i never brought it for inspection. I know this is my fault and realise now. I had it fitted by auto 5 and i have all details etc. Do you know if they will pass the car or what i might expect by way of penalty or anything else. Any info much appreciated!
You'll find out when it goes through the inspection. Knowing beforehand won't make any difference anyway.

Just be really nice to the people at the place and feign ignorance that you had to do a control.
And what about your trailor? Did you get that controlled and taxed?
Tell them that when you feign ignorance - "I didn't realise I had to because I don't use it to tow only for a bike carrier."
You will probably still be fined but they won't look on you as someone who is deliberately breaking the rules.
