Control technique
Hello,
Well my car is due it's 4th birthday next month but before celebrating I need to get a CT done.
Now its been a while and the last time this had to be arrnaged the authorities sent me a letter stating, etc date to be done by, etc.
Is this still the same or do oyu need to go arrange a test, etc?

They will contact you for your controle technique, but if you have a low mileage car, it is less than 6 years old, passed without any problems last time and a few other conditions, then you will only be called after 2 years. See here:

Yes absolutely, and I also recommend always handing over a crisp 50 Euro note with your documents. That's what I have always done for the past 20 years, and my vehicle has passed every time!

What a ridiculous comment.
Be aware that if they do not send you a reminder, which happens for one reason or another, it is still your responsibility to have it done by the due date. If not, you will pay a penalty.
