Question

Is it requirement of the right to congé parental for the child in question to have been born in Belgium or is it sufficient to have been born in the EU? I have tried to read the law and it does not mention this detail....

Where the child is born has no relevance at all. The rules on conge parental are linked to employment legislation .... and depend on the age of your child and how your employer implements this .

Agree. All on age - nothing on where born.

Thanks a bunch to you both! I thought so-you have to have worked a min of 12 mths in the last 15 mths and the child to be under 12 (unless disabled).
