Cleaning lady ripped the carpet

Question

My cleaning lady ripped a carpet when she was moving the sofa. She works with tires-services, through an agency. I think they have an insurance for this kind of thing. I was wondering if anybody wants to share their experience claiming money back from the agency. The carpet was from Ikea, not very expensive, maybe 150Eur or so, but it is 2x3m so quite big.

You want to put a claim in for a carpet which was worth maybe 30 or 40 euros. You would never get the original value through the insurance.I think you should re-think this situation before you puty some unfortunate cleaner through a lot of stress.
