Christmas activities for kids?

We just moved to Belgium from the US and we're not sure how people celebrate Christmas here. Are there any Christmas activities/parties in English for kids that would be appropriate and fun for a 5-year-old? What are some other things and traditions we need to do and experience in Belgium to get the most out of the holiday season with little kids? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Sinterklaas kapoentje......! You will find Sinterklaas arrive in Tervuren next Saturday 2pm. If your children are at local school, they will already be in Sinterklaas / St Nicolas mode. Just do a little research, too much to write here about the great Saint.
If you want, you can "repeat" with Santa Claus 3 weeks later.
