Cheap ADSL

Question

Have Telenet, I am thinking of perhaps using the telephone line for ADSL.

25G extra with Telenet is 5€. Can I get it cheaper with ADSL?

Which provider has the lowest cost download/month?

How does Proximus stack up?
(I would like some FON as well)

Can you usually get a discount if the speed is not as high as it should be?

(NO Base, Tele2 etc!!!!)

dideckers

www.scarlet.be : trio / 39€ per month

"Can you usually get a discount if the speed is not as high as it should be?"

Hahahaha

With Telenet's reputation, either it will be fine or a nightmare. Same price, "same service".

Proximus for reliability, but speed can be dependent on where your house is.

I was told a while ago by a telephone engineer that telemetry speeds where much faster, he was working for a different provider and told me he used telemetry because of this, so be wary of losing a faster connection if you switch

As for proximus they are a joke first time when we moved back here in 2010 they didn't turn up to connect us because they had a an address we left five years previously and were confused that five years later we had a different one. Of course they didn't call the husband to clarify just didn't come so no phone or Internet for over a month.switched as soon as we could.
Then Stupidly having not learnt when we moved house again and decided to leave Telenet last year because Proiximus had a good deal on. They "lost my order to change" in their system due to their error it didn't go through. Again They didn't contact me to say we have a problem. So even though I had appointment booked no one came and it took several weeks and tons of phone calls. They help desk were anything but I was told all sorts of crap promised the moon but given cow dung.
Eventually they made me take a new number despite telling me I didn't need that when I signed and more than once on the phone in the proceeding weeks, the only reason I didn't stop the transfer was because the package included a TV and they were telling me I had to pay for that full price not the discount price I got with my deal. So my advice avoid proximus at all cost. They are rubbish at transferring services. This was all in pack TV Internet and phone both times. First time only way to get TV to work was wires trailing through three rooms meters and meters now have proximus box can't complain about that but the switch was dreadful

As Dideckers suggest I also recommend Scarlet.be
Scarlet Trio - Internet, Telefonie and Digitale TV €39 per month.

From time to time remind them to reduce all their telecommunication costs that was debated and agreed for by the European Parliament. Use your EU consumer rights. If nothing is said nothing gets done resulting in the customer paying higher fees.

In France the basic standard price is between €10 - €14 per month ; they have a higher internet upload and download speed, all calls inside the country are free and also comes with a wide selection of television channels.

What value should I put to Digital TV and phone when we already have Telenet?

Scarlet oofer 300G/month, Proximus "only" 100G, but I am not really going to spend more than 100G in addition to the100G included with Telenet.

100G would only save me € 20 with Telenet, but I think I will try Proximus for the FON.

Good luck with that, don't believe anything they tell you in the store and don't book a day off work when they say they are switching your line unless you want a wasted day.
