Changing electricity suppliers
Question
Hello,
I am considering switching from Electrabel to Lampiris for my electricity (I'm already with Lampiris for gas). Has anyone done this? Was it a painless process?
Lampiris say that they'll take care of it all, but it's unclear whether Electrabel charge a fee for terminating the contract. Have searched the Electrabel site to no avail...

Personal experience - Quite bad. After I registered for a contract, Lampiris forgot to inform Sibelga that they were taking over. I had to suffer two days of power cut before they managed to transfer it. So, if you can, remind them once every few days to ask about what is going on. This has proved to be the case for every customer service thing in Belgium for me.
