Can MOBIB basic be used on De Lijn trams in Flanders?

Question
I have a MOBIB basic card for getting around Brussels and I'm going up to Knokke next weekend. Can I use this card to pay for journeys on the coast tram.

You can buy a day ticket at various sales points, you could also buy single tickets using your mobile phone, cheaper than paying in cash on the tram. You can buy in advane the day tickets in Brussels too, look on the deLijn website for sales points in the area.
