Busy weekend for Brussels hotels

23:07 02/11/2016

Brussels hotels have reported their first "good weekend" since the downturn in room occupancy triggered by the terror attacks in March.

The Brussels Hotel Association said it remained cautiously optimistic, adding: "It’s an important symbolic moment."

The positive weekend, in which 90% of rooms were occupied, was boosted by Halloween events and exhibitions of Picasso’s sculptures at Bozar and the Guggenheim collection at ING Art Center.

Rodolphe Van Weyenbergh from BHA told Bruzz: "This figure is positive for the image of Brussels, but it does not yet signify that the crisis in the sector is over."
