The Bulletin meets... soprano Nicola Mills
It's not every day you find a British professional soprano opera singer performing on the Grand Place in Brussels. Nicola Mills is from the north of England and came to Belgium to sing for the Opera Vlaanderen. She had a fear of singing by herself - so she took to the streets to overcome it, under the name The Down-to-Earth Diva.
Greenlight For Girls
Each year at the International School of Brussels, Greenlight for Girls holds a special day especially made for young girls, ages 11 to 15, where they can explore and learn that science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) is in everything around us and part of any career for their future. They learn new ideas, build their confidence and skills – and just run amok in their decorated lab coats and the freedom to express themselves and to believe that “Anything is Possible!” Richard Harris introduces us to some very accomplished girls having a ball discovering science.
Rasoi: Indian lunch delivered to your door
Two Indian brothers are offering traditional Indian lunchboxes delivered to your workplace - for a sociable lunch in groups of at least four. You receive a tiffin full of steaming hot curries made using old family methods, then they come and collect the dishes a couple of hours later. They deliver to Brussels, Ixelles and Saint-Gilles and their customers include ING, Belgacom and Oxfam. Our reporter Graham Eyre went to their kitchen to find out more.
