Smokestack Charlie play classic, raw and dirty Chicago blues inspired by legends such as Howlin’ Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson II and John Lee Hooker. With their powerful blend of warm grooves, gritty riffs and irresistible dancing rhythms Smokestack Charlie brings the spirit of smoky Chicago clubs straight to the stage. The band comprises  Den Huibbe (vocals), Geneviève Dartevelle (harmonica), Raffe Claes (guitar, backing vocals), Willy Voordecker (bass) and Robert Theys (drums).

BRBC houseband Midnight Mary will open the concert, performing their popular R'n'B repertoire, featuring classics by Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley, Elmore James, Junior Wells, Link Wray, Big Mama Thornton, Otis Redding, Al Green and others.

After the concert there is a late blues jam hosted by Roman until 2am.
