Brussels parks closed again until Thursday due to wind

11:00 02/01/2018

Parks, woods and cemeteries in the Brussels region are once again closed to the public, until Thursday morning, because of strong winds.

The City of Brussels pre-emptively closed its parks at midday on Tuesday. Other municipalities will follow before 18.00.

Gusts of up to 120kph are forecast on Tuesday evening and part of Wednesday. Roads passing through the Bois de la Cambre are closed to traffic.

Brussels Environment said the region's green spaces should reopen on Thursday, after checks are carried out to assess any damage.
