Brussels Muzieque presents string trio concert in Brussels on 10 December
An inaugural string trio concert marks the launch of a collaboration between Brussels Muzieque and new cultural venue La Baixu at Tour & Taxis.
Three virtuoso musicians will take to the stage to perform eminent pieces written for string instruments: Nadja Nevolovitch, leader of the 1st violins at Brussels Philharmonic, Monika Młynarczyk, co-principal viola at Opera La Monnaie/De Munt and Eduardo Tonietto, cellist and artistic director of Brussels Muzieque.
Together, they play the well-known Schubert trio in Bb major and the lesser-known Hungarian composer Dohnányi Ernő’s ’serenade’ for string trio, as well as Polish-Jewish composer Weinberg’s string trio.
The concert is performed in the intimate and offbeat setting of Le Baixu, a new venue created to stage exhibitions, screenings and talks, in addition to concerts.
Supported by subsidies from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, classical music platform Brussels Muzieque’s upcoming season also includes String Quartets for two cellos at Full Circle House on 18 December.
