10:57 13/02/2013

Librarium, the Brussels museum devoted to the history of books, writings and libraries, is among the museums nominated to win the prestigious European Museum of the Year Award 2013 (EMYA). The EMYA is an initiative of the European Museum Forum and has been around since 1977. Each year the prize is awarded to a European museum that shines with a unique innovative quality. The jury will make its final selection from a total of 21 candidates from countries across Europe at a prize ceremony in Tongeren in May. Librarium, located in the Royal Library of Belgium at Mont des Arts, is currently running an exhibition on Reynard the Fox and displaying a limited edition of Ulysses by James Joyce with engravings and drawings by Henri Matisse.
