Brussels Motor Show declared a success
The curtain closed on the 92nd edition of the Brussels Motor Show Sunday night, bringing to an end 10 days of showcasing the latest vehicles to hit the market. The final tally saw 585,000 visitors move through the gates, slightly less than last year’s event, but 23,500 more than in 2012. Organisers say the growing interest in the exhibition, which featured vehicles appealing to every taste and pocket size, is a positive sign for companies in attendance, and should mark a strong year ahead for the industry.
Hailed as a success for auto makers, organisers also say they struck the right balance for fun and entertainment. Aside from the cars, the Jobs on Wheels initiative met its objective in bringing attention to jobs in the automotive industry.
With the 2014 edition only just complete, sights are already set on next year’s show, which will feature light trucks, recreational vehicles and motorcycles.
