Brussels café launches regular English comedy nights

12:17 15/04/2015

Brussels’ Rits café will next week start with a monthly comedy night in English. The initiative comes from British-Belgian comedian Nigel Williams (pictured), who will headline the opening night, writes brusselnieuws.be.

The first English comedy evening is scheduled for 21 April, and the intention is to draw English-speaking comedians to Brussels for a regular event every third Tuesday of the month. May and June editions are already planned.

On the bill for next Tuesday, in addition to Williams, are American comedian Andy Valvur and Canadian comedian Daniel-Ryan Spaulding. "The idea is to create the feeling of an English comedy club in Brussels," says young Belgian comedian Sven Ceuppens, who helped Williams launch the event.
