Brussels Airport to get large office park
Brussels Airport will expand in the coming years with the addition of several new offices in the vicinity of the airport terminal, reports brusselnieuws.be. The first office building next to the terminal is already in place: the Gateway Building (pictured), where consultancy group Deloitte is a tenant.
Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport, intends to add 300,000 to 400,000 square metres of additional office space in the next 15 to 20 years, he told De Tijd. According to Feist, the airport will benefit from more offices, logistics companies, hotels and a new conference centre. The location’s greatest asset is its proximity to the airport, he points out, but also its well-developed public transport connections.
The new office park will likely be built in the area behind the parking towers and the Sheraton Hotel. The planning and permission phase for the property development should be finished by the end of this year.
