Birthday Gift Bags

Question

Mothers please help... My baby is nearly two years old and this time I need to arrange around 25 birthday gift bags for her creche. Any suggestions, what should I pack inside & what is best place to buy some good birthday bags? Bart Smith, Hema, Club dont have such bags.

I

Seriously? Is this normal in your creche?
Normally a child would bring a birthday cake and it would be eaten as the morning or afternoon snack. Gifts for 2 year olds. Gosh the world has become materialistic. Perhaps it's better to wait till the children can remember. Our kids rarely get goody bags from school on birthdays, but there is usually a cake or something else to share to eat.

Original poster here. Yeah its happening in creche. Two times, my baby bring tiny bags, having some toffees & water colours in it. So I suppose, maybe its important to add some edible things along with a gift for each creche child. Please suggest.

I would suggest you don't join in. Keep to sending in some biscuits/ buns on the day of your child's birthday for morning or afternoon snack.

Do not join in. It becomes a competition and no-one, including you and/or your kid will win. There can be no winners.

Simply explain to other parents that you don't subscribe to this and let the rest fall into place. A cake is absolutely fine, make sure your kid helps and it looks, well, you know.

You will be surprised who will agree and they will be the ones that will bring up kids to have that set of values.

Or take part.

Many thanks for your advice. I will not take part in that custom now.
