Bird-watching group

Question

Does anybody know a French or English speaking birdwatching group in Brussels area or Flemish Brabant? I am looking for a nature loving social group. Suggestions will be appreciated.

It would be useful to know whether you are a serious 'twitcher', or someone who is interested in birds on a less obsessive level, and is rather looking to find like minded company that enjoys nature and likes to spend time outdoors.
If you fall into the latter category and have reasonable mobility, then organisations such as Expat Hiking Brussels might be of interest to you. They organise hikes across the region about every fortnight, which are advertised on their Facebook page.
As to whether bird watching is boring, well will it brings myself and many others a great deal of joy. I regularly see upwards of 20 species in my garden, and at least another dozen in the parks, fields and forests where I walk the dog. The estuaries along the Dutch/Belgian border are also an internationally significant habitat for migratory waders. Each to their own - and perhaps on that basis, people who don't share the interest might perhaps care to input more constructively on subjects that they have knowledge about and/or passion for.
