Big supermarkets in Aachen

Question

Which is the closest big supermarket in Aachen area? They do not have Carrefours. What are the names of their big supermarkets and where are they located? Thanks.

First of all VERY IMPORTANT: your car needs a German emission sticker, before you can drive into the city / to its inner boundaries (costs about 15 EUR - !!! the fine is 60EUR each time they get you (foto passing), even multiple / per day). see here http://www.aachen.de/DE/stadt_buerger/umwelt/luft-stadtklima/luftreinhal...

The fine is € 80, not € 60, and, yes, it will be imposed every time you are spotted without a sticker.

Touring sell the green "4" emission stickers in Bruxelles but you will need to take your vehicle documents with you (and your Touring card if you are a member as the members' price is slightly cheaper). Otherwise, the best bet is a dealer in Germany selling your make of car, but you must get it before you enter the zone (which is quite wide for Aachen).

REAL is a very large supermarket on the outskirts is Aachen.

We have not yet been caught by the Umwelt zone, just going to REAL and no further in.

There is also one called Hit as you drive into the city, right by the football stadium. Slightly fancier than Real and the rest.

R Harris maybe they are visit achen for the day to get cheaper clothing etc and wish to buy their groceries on the way home or maybe they saw the recent article which states food is much more expensive in Belgium and are trying a big shop to see if it saves them money.
Either way what does it matter they didn't ask about shopping in Belgium
