Belgium’s longest catwalk to showcase summer collections

Antwerp’s major shopping street, the Meir, will soon form the backdrop for Belgium’s longest outdoor catwalk. On Sunday, 3 May, from 14.00 to 17.00, the Meir shops will host the first-time event with the support of the City of Antwerp.

The fashion show will give brands like Rivers Woods, Replay, Hunkemöller, Jack & Jones and Benetton, among others, the opportunity to show off their summer collections to a wide public. In total, some 150 models will prance up and down the 1.5km catwalk wearing the latest trends for summer 2015.

The models were chosen from a pool of more than 300 applicants via the Facebook page of vzw Meir and Experience Antwerp. Among the models are people of all shapes and sizes, “because everyone can shine by being him- or herself, and not necessarily a size 34," say the organisers.
