Belgium draws well in Euro 2016 grouping

10:24 24/02/2014

Belgium’s aspirations for success at Euro 2016 took a step in the right direction this weekend in Nice when the luck of the draw placed the Red Devils in a group sans football’s European powerhouses. The good fortune placed them in a group made up of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Israel, Wales, Cyprus and Andorra in Group B. The draw sees Belgium avoid the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy and England for the first stage. The draw could have ended badly as the team entered not seeded and could easily have faced one of the big clubs.

The draw sees the Red Devils as the favourites to win the group, with the top two teams guaranteed to move onto the European Championships. Qualifying for Euro 2016 will kick-off this September, with the Championship taking place in France from 10 June to 10 July, 2016.
