A Belgian man who drove into two British tourists in Bruges on New Year’s Day is said to be in shock after the crash, reports ITV News. A police source said he was over the alcohol limit and had been travelling at more than the 30kph speed limit. The 22-year-old, who was arrested for drink-driving and causing injuries to two people, has been released from custody but will appear in court in the coming months and his driving licence was revoked for two weeks. The tourists have been named as Simon Huxtable, 44, and Deborah Dale, 34, from Witney in Oxfordshire. They face losing their legs as a result of the crash.
