Belgian company buys Swiss Enterprise Social Networking specialist

Swiss company HyperWeek has been bought by Knowledge Plaza, a Belgian company specialising in enterprise social networking, reports StartUpTicker. French online magazine Le Journal Du Net quotes the figure of €500,000 for the purchase of the Swiss start-up. HyperWeek, based in Geneva and founded in 2008, has developed a social platform aimed at give more engagement inside and outside enterprises, creating obvious context and meaningful connections. The team has large-scale project experience in worldwide multilingual deployments, and its customers include Nestlé, Hublot, Omega and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Knowledge Plaza is active in the same field and is of similar age. Whatever SA, Knowledge Plaza’s developer, was launched in 2007; its ten engineers specialise in information retrieval, monitoring and knowledge management. The company is based in Louvain-la-Neuve and opened an office in Paris in June 2010. According to Le Journal du Net, thanks to the acquisition of HyperWeek, Knowledge Plaza will reach a turnover of €2m in 2014.
