Belgian comedian breaks kissing World Record

Stand-up comedian Philippe Geubels responded to a challenge during television charity event De Liveshow by breaking the World Record for the most kisses received in 30 seconds, writes Het Laatste Nieuws.

The world record stood at 56 kisses on the cheek in 30 seconds. With the help of several Miss Belgium finalists, Geubel was able to break the record by gathering 65 kisses on the cheek in half a minute.

It was pretty violent, according to the comedian, who said it felt like being mauled by a bunch of football fans.

For every kiss, the show's 'Red Noses' charity action received €250, so that the total amount quickly rose to €16,250. Entrepreneur Willy Naessens, who was in the audience, stood up and announced that he would donate an additional €20,000 to the cause, whose aim is to help children with mental health problems.
